Puppies at 3 week of age

Puppies now both weight 20 oz. or 1 1/4 lbs.  They now see and hear, and are starting to take on a little personality.  The girl that is raised in this pictured just made one of her first barks.  These first little barks somewhat startle them as they don't really know they have voices and they have just started hearing.  They have started some tentative playing with each other -- though it is mostly chewing on each others ears, paws, tails.  Their pigment is developing well; you can see the dark spots on the nose and lips.  Another good point -- these girls show no signs of tear staining.  Something again that can many times be seen by this age.
