Puppies at 6 week of age

Puppies
now weight 28 oz. and 29 oz. Although they are growing
steadily there percent of growth each week slows down a little.
most breeders use 10-12 weeks of age weight to estimate adult weight; at
the rate these two girls are developing they should be in the 5 lb.
range. They like to get out an play and have started paying attention to
the other Maltese in the house -- as well as the resident cat.
They are very curious about everything. And having started 'running' all
over when out to play, although their rear legs do not yet have the
strength of their front legs. Their hair is getting much longer
and in each you can make a part down the back. They have finally decided
to eat the puppy mush (see week 5) they are feed 3 times a day, but
still like the food mother has to offer. Mother still sleeps with
them at night and is always around to supervise their play activities,
but is now spending more and more time away from them.
